PathWiz! 5

PathWiz! version 5.0 is now available for users of The Master Genealogist. PathWiz! is a utility to manage your TMG exhibits. The PathWiz! program is an exhibit and path management tool which allows you to access a TMG Version 5 or 6 project database table ( dbf ) containing paths to and information attached to exhibits ( graphical images and other files ) stored anywhere on your local PC.

Quite a bit has been added (multi-language support, enhanced Microsoft Word capabilities, etc.) - you can read it all on the PathWiz! 5 page.

GEDmill 1.5

GEDmill and GEDmill Pro 1.5 are now available. GEDmill is a GEDCOM to HTML converter, that allows you to place your family tree online. GEDmill 1.5 Pro is a free upgrade for GEDmill Pro users (normal GEDmill 1.5 is free).

Features:

* Creates a separate page for each individual, listing key events in their life, alongside a photograph (if available) and a family tree diagram*.
* Provides references to all sources. Let’s you can see at a glance where a piece of information has come from, with images of certificates, official documents etc. where available.
* Option to hide certain individuals. Keep information about living relatives or others out of the website, at your discretion.
* Works with all good family history programs. Accepts family history data in GEDCOM format. All good family history programs have the option to export data in this format. GEDmill was designed with GEDCOM 5.5 in mind, which is the latest non-markup version of the GEDCOM standard, but it can handle data in earlier formats too!
* Creates standards compliant HTML web pages. All webpages are W3C XHTML 1.0 compliant.

GRAMPS 2.0.6

GRAMPS 2.0.6 is now available. GRAMPS is a GNOME genealogy program for Linux and FreeBSD that allows you to easily build and keep track of your family tree.

Source code and RPMs for Fedora Core 3, Fedora Core 4, Mandrake, and Slackware available for download. Packages for other distributions should follow over the next several days.

After weeks of discussion, design, implementation and testing, this release introduces the new Narrative Web Page generator. The new web site generator produces significantly more complete and nicer looking web pages. While the older web page has been included in this release, it will eventually be removed.
