GRAMPS 2.0.10

GRAMPS 2.0.10 is available (Apparently the RC didn’t last long). GRAMPS is a GNOME genealogy program for Linux and FreeBSD that allows you to easily build and keep track of your family tree. Note: GRAMPS 2.0.10 is considered a “stable” release. This is the “Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch” release, and mainly consists of bug fixes with some additions. Among the additions, OpenDocument support and a Calendar plugin. It also includes GEDCOM export and import improvements.

GenealogyJ (GenJ) v2.4

GenealogyJ (GenJ) v2.4 was released over the weekend – this is a major update (the previous version, 2.3.2, was released over a year ago). GenealogyJ is a viewer and editor for genealogic data, suitable for hobbyist, family historian and genealogy researcher. GenJ supports the Gedcom standard, is written in Java and offers many views like family tree, table, timeline, geography and more.

GRAMPS 2.0.10-RC1 is available. GRAMPS is a GNOME genealogy program for Linux and FreeBSD that allows you to easily build and keep track of your family tree. Note: GRAMPS 2.0.10-RC1 is a Release Candidate and probably should not be used as your active genealogy application. It’s considered an “unstable” release.
